High Fidelity

High Fidelity is a film released in the year 2000 based on the 1995 novel by Nick Hornby. It stars John Cussack as Rob Gordon a Chicago record store owner who talks to the camera about his many 'top 5s' such as , records, dream jobs and most memorable split-ups in chronological order. This film was great, it was funny and it was sad at times. Over all it was brilliant and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The trailer is beneath;

Freaks and geeks

A while ago I discovered this TV show called freaks and geeks.
It's from the year 1999 and it's got a great cast. It only ran for
a series and it's not available for the
UK, but you can watch it online easily at tv.blinx.com. The cast
includes, James Franco, Seth Rogen,
Martin Starr, Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini and Busy Philipps.
On IMDb it was given 9.3 stars out
of 10 and was one of the first things Judd Apatow was
involved with. Mike white was also part
of it as supervising producer for almost all of the
eighteen episodes. If you liked scrubs or even the big
bang theory I suspect you will like this.

My Favourite Christmas Film

What is my Favourite Christmas film, I have been asked this recently and I am going to do a post about it. My Favourite Christmas film is Elf with Will Ferrel, it manages to be one of the funniest movies ever aswell as having elements of a tragedy in it. My Favourite scene is when Buddy is implied to be a Xmas gram and is told to sing a song, nervously buddy goes on to invent one of the weirdest songs ever made. Whatever the time of year when Elf is on it feels like Christmas.

Johnny English Reborn Film Review

You wouldn't expect that Rowan Atkinson could get so much success from what evolved from a Barclaycard advert, but he pulled it off, twice. Johnny English returned to our screens on the 7th of October this year with the younger generation eager to get into the cinemas again. The jokes as always with Rowan Atkinson are funny but can get very repetitive. I knew my view on the film as soon as I saw that they had replaced the mighty Ben Miller with Parking Pateweyo from the Harry and Paul sketches. As the film went on it regained my liking with funny lines pulled from Atkinson. All in all I think that the movie deserves 3 out of 5 stars as the childish humour even with the ridiculous unrealistic outcomes is still quite funny. To see a trailer click this link.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn

An adventurous journalist, two dimwitted detectives, an alcoholic sea captain, Herge's 20th century masterworks. Tintin has long awaited a film adaptation and what better time to do so than now. Steven Speilberg the director of such films as E.T, Jurassic Park and Jaws, managed to transfer his skills to an animation triumphantly. Despite being panned by the Guardian the film still appeared to me as one of the best of the year and I expect will also appeal to the rest of the younger generation. I know this may be a weird thing to comment on but the scene transitions were the best I've ever seen, things such as going from Captain Haddock's hand to the side of a mountain or zooming into a bubble to see an overview of the town. I agree that CGI was the best call as the casting directors would never have found people who looked exactly like the classic comic book characters. Nick Frost and Simon Pegg did the best job of voice acting I have ever seen and suited the characters brilliantly. The film ends leaving the doors wide open for a sequel and it definitely deserves one.
